Criminal arraignments and trial dockets were heard on Tuesday by Judge Ryan J. Moore in General Sessions Court. Included in Tuesday’s actions are the following:
• Norna D. Martin pleaded guilty to allowing animals to run at large. She was assessed a $50 fine plus court costs and ordered to pay restitution to the victim.
• Charles Musgrove pleaded guilty to a violation of probation. His probation was extended for 6 months in order to complete community service work and pay restitution.
• Cody Wood pleaded guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 60 days in jail.
• Charles Edward Woods pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and was sentenced to 6 months to serve 48 hours in jail, the balance on supervised probation, assessed a $50 fine plus court costs. He also pleaded guilty to one count of criminal contempt for a failure to appear and was sentenced to 10 days in jail, ordered to pay a $50 fine plus court costs on the capias. These sentences run consecutively.
• Garry Samuel Alford had a preliminary hearing and the court found probable cause to bind his case to the grand jury. The Court also raised his bond from $50,000 to $100,000 and ordered him to 24/7 GPS monitoring with an ankle bracelet. He is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.
• Landon Wayne Butcher pleaded guilty to indecent exposure and was sentenced to 6 months to serve 11 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation, ordered to pay a $50 fine, plus court costs. He also pleaded guilty to criminal contempt for a failure to appear and was sentenced to 10 days in jail, assessed a $50 fine plus court costs on the capias. These sentences run consecutively.
• Johnathan Andrew Curtis had a preliminary hearing and the court found probable cause to bind his case to the grand jury. The Court denied his motion to reduce bond and raised his bond from $50,000 to $100,000.
• Logan Ellis pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, assessed a $50 fine plus court costs, ordered to stay away from victim and banned from a certain apartment complex.
• Jarred Freeland pleaded guilty to domestic assault and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days to serve 30 days in jail, the balance on supervised probation, ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation and follow all recommended treatment. He was also assessed court costs and ordered to stay away from the victim.
• Jared Henry pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, ordered to pay a $50 fine plus court costs, banned from a certain apartment complex and ordered to stay away from the victim. He also pleaded guilty to underage consumption and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation and assessed a $50 fine. These sentences run concurrently.
• Jason William Hobbs pleaded guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 180 in jail. This sentence runs consecutive to any other sentence he is currently serving. He also waived his preliminary hearing and bound his new cases to the grand jury. He is charged with three counts of a violation of an order of protection.
• Clifton Edgar Johnston waived his preliminary hearing and bound his case to the grand jury. He is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.
• James Gregory Keel waived his preliminary hearing and bound his case to the grand jury. He is charged with four counts of aggravated assault.
• Michael Anthony Madewell waived his preliminary hearing and bound his case to the grand jury. He is charged with aggravated assault.
• Wesley Dale McElwain pleaded guilty to theft and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, ordered to pay a $50 fine plus court costs, and banned from victim’s premises. He was also ordered to pay restitution to the victim as condition of probation.
• Zachariah Morris pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, ordered to pay a $50 fine plus court costs and ordered to stay away from the victim and victim’s premises. He also pleaded guilty to underage consumption and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation. These sentences run concurrently.
• Troy Lane Parton pleaded guilty to vandalism and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days on supervised probation, ordered to pay restitution to the victim and assessed court costs. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of allowing animals to run at large and was assessed a $50 fine on each count.
• Natalia Valeria Taylor pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, ordered to pay a $50 fine plus court costs.
• Joshua Allen Tucker waived his preliminary hearing and bound his case to the grand jury. He is charged with aggravated domestic assault and domestic assault.
• Cara Ann Walls waived her preliminary hearing and bound her case to the grand jury. She is charged with domestic assault and violation of bond conditions.
• Michael Lynn Young pleaded guilty to a violation of probation and was sentenced to 30 days in jail. He also pleaded guilty to theft and was sentenced to 48 hours in jail, ordered to pay a $75 fine plus court costs. He was also ordered to stay away from the victim and banned from the victim’s premises. These sentences run consecutively.
