Sentences were handed down Tuesday by Judge Bill Locke in General Sessions Court. Included in court action:Jeremy Barnes was given an 11-month, 29-day sentence and must pay $2,994 for possession of morphine and meth.John Lillard Jr. was issued an 11-29 sentence and must pay $750 plus costs for possession of drugs.Savannah Bell was directed to serve 92 days of a six-month sentence for possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of probation, and failure to appear in court.Jimmy McCormick was ordered to serve 30 days and pay $150 plus costs for possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear in court. He must serve the balance of his former sentence for violation of probation.Kenneth Bigham was bound to the grand jury on five counts of violating the sexual offender registry.John M. Porter Jr. was directed to serve 30 days of an 11-29 sentence and must attend batterer intervention for domestic assault.Macalah Smith was bound to the grand jury on the charge of violating an order of protection.Liza Herriman was directed to serve 10 days of a six-month sentence for criminal impersonation.
