Galligan to talk about war on TV
Local resident Michael Galligan will be featured on a TV show about the Vietnam war.

Local resident Michael Galligan will be featured this Thursday, Sept. 14, in a TV documentary that examines Vietnam veterans and their experiences during war and after.
The show will air on the PBS affiliate WCTE at 7 p.m.
The 30-minute show is produced and written by Tennessee Tech professor Dr. Michael Birdwell and co-produced by WCTE’s Daniel Duarte. It’s called “In Country and Back in the World: Tennesseans and Vietnam War.”
This documentary is a companion piece to the Ken Burns 18-hour national Vietnam War series that begins airing on WCTE this Sunday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m.
In addition to Galligan, other veterans to be featured are Jim White, Dr. Chuck Jordan, Sid Coe, Jim Stafne from Putnam County, Larry Gunnels from Overton County and Terry Ashe from Wilson County.
