Veterans and their spouses will be offered a free meal on Saturday.
The Silent Creed MC is hosting their sixth annual Veteran’s Dinner at The Redemption Center starting at 11 a.m. Darren Turner said, “It’s just something near and dear to our hearts as veterans, and doing it for them. We do this, and if we have any money left from doing this, we buy sleeping bags and warm clothing for homeless veterans.”
Turner added that they also take donations and said, “If somebody comes up there, and they’re not a veteran, if they want to just donate some money for a plate, that money goes toward the clothing and the veterans as well.”
The event doesn’t have a set end time for giving food, but it starts at 11 a.m. tomorrow. Turner said, “We’re not going to run anybody off. If there’s someone showing up to eat, we’re going to make sure they eat.” The meals will be free to all veterans, and their spouses can grab a free plate as well.
The Redemption Center is located at 127 Northgate Drive, McMinnville.
