Foutch charged for shooting at man in his yard

An armed conflict on Virginia Street has led to felony assault charges against a man police found clutching a gun when they arrived to investigate.The suspect, Quembie Foutch, 62, is charged with aggravated assault. He will appear for preliminary hearing Oct. 18.Police received a report that shots had been fired at a residence on Virginia Street. When police arrived, they found a fight for the gun had intensified.“He (Foutch) was found lying on the ground holding a 22-caliber revolver in his hand with Mandy McBride and Brandon Redmon trying to get the gun away from him,” said McMinnville Police Lt. Ben Cantrell, noting officers were able to secure the weapon and break up the skirmish.During subsequent interviews with the combatants, police learned Foutch had told McBride and Redmon he did not want them there when they arrived at his Virginia Street home.
