Zachery Turner, Ashley Dawn Golden, Stephanie Vanatta and Jeffery Scott Pegg are all being held on especially aggravated kidnapping charges.
Three people were held hostage, beaten and tortured at a Cherry Springs residence for two days before they were able to escape their captors – the incident happening at the same house where a man was gunned down earlier this year.Four people are facing charges including the resident of the house, Zachery Turner, who was arrested later after a motorcycle crash in DeKalb County. Local authorities picked up Turner from the hospital upon his release.Turner and his three alleged partners in crime, Ashley Dawn Golden, Stephanie Vanatta and Jeffery Scott Pegg, are all being held on especially aggravated kidnapping charges. The charges come after the three victims showed up at a residence on Green Hill Road and called authorities, revealing they had been held against their will at Turner’s home.During questioning by lawmen, the victims said their ordeal started when they gave Vanatta, who was a friend of the victims, a ride from Wilson County to Turner’s house.“When they arrived, Ms. Vanatta went inside while they remained in the vehicle,” Cavanaugh said, noting she came back out about 15 minutes later and they got ready to leave. Cavanaugh continued, “At that time Zachery Turner came out saying he was missing 20 grams of methamphetamine and made all of them come inside the house.”The victims said Turner told them they could not leave until they returned the meth or gave him $2,000 to pay for it.
