Foster parenting can be rewarding for both the parent and the child’s life they touch.“You can’t begin to understand how it feels to be able to minister to a child in the worst point of their life,” said Northside Baptist Minister and foster parent Michael Carr who is hosting a foster parent orientation at Northside Church gym Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. “You can have an incredible impact on the child’s life.”Carr is hosting the orientation for the public and suggests anyone who may have thought about being a foster parent attend the meeting.“You can see if it’s something you may be interested in,” Carr said. “It will be a question and answer to help alleviate concerns that some potential foster parents may have.”Carr has been a foster parent for about a year. His family is among 12 Warren County foster families who are helping 84 children.“We need more foster parents,” Carr said.
