First-responders to face off in cornhole tourney
CornHWEB

First-responders will be going head to head for a good cause at the Battle of the Badges Charity Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 11.

This event will be held at Wild Bill’s BBQ and Grill and will benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. This foundation honors the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who gave his life to save others on Sept. 11, 2001 and honors members of the military and first-responders who continue to make sacrifices for America.

This will be a double-elimination tournament and each team must have at least one active first-responder. There will be a $40 entry fee per team and bags and boards will be provided. Pre-registration is not required.

The tournament is open to first-responders from any agency and agencies can register more than one team. The winning team will be awarded a championship trophy as well as bragging rights.

The Battle of the Badges will start at 1 p.m. at Wild Bill’s BBQ and Grill, 3340 Sparta Highway. For more information about the tournament email Midtennessee@tunnel2towers.org.
