Fathers and daughters were wearing their best boots and hats as they lined up around the block for the 27th Annual Father/Daughter Date Night last Saturday. “Yee-Haw, Saddle up and put on your Cowboy Boots” was the theme of the Western-styled evening which sold over 480 tickets.

This was the first year since 2019 the event was back at the Milner Recreational Center. It had been held at Bridgestone through the COVID years according to First National Bank marketing director Hunter MacDonald. She said 480 tickets were sold for the popular event. ‘It’s become a real traditional date night for many dads and their daughters,” said MacDonald as she was busy helping organize the long catering and photography lines.

The gym was full to the brim as cowboys and cowgirls tapped their toes and swung their partners in the brightly decorated and pulsating space. Many of the little cowgirls danced together on the big floor as their dads socialized and enjoyed the plentiful buffet. The evening went from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday.
