The teen father of a baby who suffocated while he and the mother were doing drugs has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.The father, Austin Adams, now 20, entered a guilty plea before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to the charge of facilitation of aggravated child neglect and was directed to serve 18 years. He will be eligible for early release on parole after serving 35 percent of his sentence. Had he been convicted on his original charges of aggravated child abuse, he would have faced 15 to 25 years in prison.His wife, Savannah Brooke Adams, now 20, entered a guilty plea last month and is serving a 15-year sentence for her part in their baby’s death.The parents, both teens at the time, were indicted last June for the death of their 1-month-old daughter, Anessa Adams.
