Escape attempt fails

A man caught hacking at his cell window at Warren County Jail has been charged with attempted escape.The man, Jacob Lee Hill, 26, has been indicted on the charge of criminal attempt to escape. His charge comes after corrections officer Alejandro Ramirez went to the inmate’s cell to investigate a problem. When he arrived, he found Hill in the process of hacking at his window with an object.“I entered the pod and walked up on Jacob Hill with a piece of metal from a light fixture in his hand, prying at the window in a manner that looked like he was trying to escape,” the officer reported, noting he removed the inmate from the cell pod for questioning.After being told he was going to be moved from his original cell, Hill resisted.
