The Southern Standard will be live from election headquarters Tuesday night, providing on-scene video updates on the numerous local races as they happen.
“We will be doing this through Facebook Live,” said digital media coordinator Ashley Wright, noting a series of live broadcasts will be done on the Standard Facebook page and can be viewed by anyone. “Tune in throughout the evening for updates.”
Even if you do not catch the live update as it happens, the video segments will still be viewable on the Southern Standard Facebook page for later viewing in their entirety.
The live remotes will focus on local races such as McMinnville mayor and aldermen, the city alcohol referendums and the state Senate and House elections. There will also be local updates on the presidential election. The Standard news team also plans live interviews of candidates from the election office.
If you do not already like the Southern Standard on Facebook, you can find the page on election night by searching for Southern Standard Newspaper. The live remotes will happen routinely through the night when there is news to break. The updates will begin after polls close at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
