A Greenleaf Lane couple has been bound to the grand jury after lawmen raided their home and found a stash of drugs.
The couple, Cynthia Hollandsworth Lytle and Troy Lee Lytle, were bound to the grand jury on charges of possession of meth and marijuana for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Their charges come after sheriff’s investigators showed up on their doorstep with a search warrant after receiving information drugs were being trafficked out of the couple’s Centertown-area residence.
“There was approximately 30 grams of a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine,” revealed sheriff’s investigator Jody Cavanaugh of what they found while searching the home. “There was also approximately 16.2 grams of a substance believed to be marijuana located in the residence.”
Given the amount of drugs and other items found during the search, lawmen decided to charge the couple with intent to resell.
“Also located in the residence were numerous baggies, digital scales, spoons with crystal residue and syringes,” Cavanaugh noted, adding hydrocodone pills were also found.
