A wreck downtown caused the drivers to be treated for injuries on Monday night.

McMinnville Police officer Maggi Fann responded to a call about a wreck with injury at the intersection of South High Street and East Main Street Monday.

On arrival, Fann made contact with the driver of a red 1994 Toyota Tacoma, later identified as Bradley Holden, 18. He was immediately transported to Ascension Saint Thomas River Park where he suffered “head trauma due to a knot on his head and memory loss.”

Rejina Garfias, 54, was heading southbound on South High Street in a black 2010 Toyota Corolla while Holden was heading toward downtown on East Main Street. As Garfias was crossing the intersection, Holden struck the Corolla on its right side.

The Tacoma knocked the Corolla next to a pole. The airbags failed to deploy in the Tacoma.

According to Garfias, she had a green light that turned yellow when the truck hit her vehicle. However, due to lack of witnesses on the scene, no citations have been issued as of now. Garfias and passenger Miranda Garfias were both transported to the hospital after sustaining injuries as well.

The accident happened at approximately 5:55 p.m.
