Amalek Merriman, 22, escaped serious injury but not a citation Tuesday night after flipping his 2009 Nissan Sentra. According to a report from McMinnville Police Officer Joshua Mullins, on May 16 at approximately 9:09 p.m., Merriman was driving on Old Shelbyville Road heading toward W. Main St. when he attempted to brake coming down the hill at 40 mph and lost control of the vehicle.
