A dog has been surrendered by its owner after it ruffled some feathers and killed at least two chickens Friday morning in downtown McMinnville. The dog named Mae, 18 months, is now in the custody of McMinnville Animal Control and will be available for adoption later this week. The attack occurred Friday morning on College Street at the home of Central Church of Christ preacher Ben Bailey, who raises about 30 chickens.“I was trying to keep him off the chickens,” said Christie Bailey, who heard the commotion and ran into her backyard.
