A Warren County deputy was involved in a two-car crash in Newtown that sent both vehicle occupants to the hospital Friday night. The crash happened in rainy conditions around 11:30 p.m. when Arrie Hyder, 20, pulled from Golf Club Road into the path of a sheriff’s department car driven by Justin Colwell, who was traveling inbound on New Nashville Highway. - photo by James Clark

The sheriff’s car T-boned the Hyder Cadillac sedan with the impact being around the driver’s side door. The Hyder vehicle was sent down and embankment where it somehow traveled between a utility pole and its guy wire without hitting either.
