Warren County native and resident Amy Denton was recently promoted to lieutenant with the Murfreesboro Police Department. Denton began her career with the department in 1997 as a patrol officer. She was assigned to the Community Oriented Policing Unit and, over the course of her career, was a field training officer, RAD instructor, child passenger safety technician instructor and Citizens Police Academy and Teen Citizens Police Academy coordinator.
