Corker Jackson DeLoach, Jr., 43, racked up eight charges across three days last week while on bail after reportedly ransacking Rock Island Market. On Nov. 8, he was charged with vandalism for reportedly breaking a gas pump. According to arresting officer Shawn Green, “Mr. DeLoach was observed striking the gas pump at Hina Food Mart, causing the glass cover on the pump to break.”

The next day on Nov. 9, DeLoach was then stopped for reportedly driving on the wrong side of the road. Arresting officer Detective Katelyn Cannon said there was a truck pulling a boat trailer on West Main Street. According to the warrant, “The truck had run off of the road and was on the wrong side of the roadway. After getting out, Det. Cannon made contact with a male, later identified as Corker DeLoach.”

DeLoach then allegedly said, “I need one gallon of gas,” “I’m a Crip,” and “I work undercover.” Det. Cannon attempted to calm DeLoach, who then reportedly walked towards traffic and hit a passing vehicle.

According to Cannon, “A male on a motorcycle stopped and attempted to help. After he got off of his motorcycle, Mr. DeLoach shoved the male.” Cannon then reportedly tried to take DeLoach into custody, but DeLoach started to fight back and kick Cannon.

After backup arrived, DeLoach was detained. According to Cannon, “On Mr. DeLoach’s person was a bag containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. On the passenger seat of the truck was a grinder with a green leafy residue. Mr. DeLoach was transported to the Warren County Sheriff’s Department by Officer Tristan Shirley.”

While in custody, DeLoach allegedly got into another altercation receiving an assault charge.

According to correctional officer Kaleb Green, on Nov. 10, 2022, at approximately 10:57 p.m., Green was conducting a 15-minute observation in men’s holding, and DeLoach asked to speak with Green.

According to the warrant, “While they were talking, Corker DeLoach stated that his father had played ‘special football.’ When Officer Kaleb Green asked Corker DeLoach what that meant, Corker DeLoach became angry and spit on Officer Kaleb Green.”

DeLoach has been charged with vandalism for the first incident.

He has been charged with assault against a first responder, filing a false report, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest for the second incident. And he has been charged with assault for the third incident, totaling in eight charges against him.
