County to vote on .10 tax increase

A 10-cent tax increase is on its way to the full Warren County Commission for consideration this Monday, July 18.Members of the county Financial Management Committee approved the county’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2016-17, which includes the tax increase. The measure passed 5-2. County Executive Herschel Wells, Director of Schools Bobby Cox, and Commissioners Linda Jones, David Rhea and Tommy Savage voted in favor of the tax increase.Commissioner Terry Bell and Road Superintendent Levie Glenn voted against it.
