Decoration Day will be held at Shellsford Cemetery. All donations used for upkeep of the cemetery. Attend or mail donations to Sandra Stotts, treasurer, 4121 Shellsford Road, McMinnville, TN 37110.

Warren County government is looking to help residents who may need home repairs but cannot afford them. Through a grant from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency, low-income residents may be eligible to bring their home up to code with a needed repair. Those who think they may qualify, or have a family member who may qualify, can contact the office of County Executive Jimmy Haley at (931) 473-2505 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. The deadline is May 28.


The Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency (UCHRA) will hold a commodities distribution for Warren County on Thursday, June 3, from 9 a.m. until noon at Northside Baptist Church.

Sign-ups will be available at the distribution site.

 

Decoration Day for Banks Cemetery in DeKalb County will be held June 4, 5, and 6. Support is needed so the cemetery can be properly maintained. Someone will be onsite during decoration days to accept donations or they may be mailed to: Melinda Vanatta-Davis, treasurer, 2807 Blue Springs Road, Smithville, TN 37166.


Decoration Day for Brick House/ Rowland Station Cemetery located on Hennessee Bridge Road is June 5, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Donations can also be mailed to: Brick House/ Rowland Station Cemetery, c/o Darryl Norris, 725 Grandy Road, McMinnville, TN 37110. No lunch. No auction. No business meeting.

                

Decoration Day for Faulkner Cemetery will be held June 6. The business meeting begins at 1 p.m. Donations for upkeep of the cemetery can be mailed to: Faulkner Cemetery, 206 Old Shelbyville Road, McMinnville, TN 37110.
