The Shady Grove Baptist Church is having Homecoming. There will be singing featuring the Calvary Trio and the Melotones beginning at 10 a.m. until noon with lunch at the Community Building. There will be no afternoon singing.

There will be an American Red Cross Blood Drive from 2 to 6 p.m. at the auditorium of Caney Fork Electric.
Generations of Morrison Co-Ed Softball Tournament deadline is today by no later than 4 p.m. All payments along with a team list are due the day of tournament May 4 at 8 a.m. Players must be 16 years of age and the cost is $125 per team. Warren County Master Gardeners will be holding their annual Plant Sale at the Farmers Market. There will be a Master Gardener area, birdhouse kits, kids korner, garden signs, flowers, shrubs, trees and more.

Van Buren County High School will have its annual alumni meeting at 4 p.m. Serving food will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the cafeteria and everyone is asked to bring a gift, plants or baked goods for the auction which begins at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. All proceeds go toward the alumni funds to present a scholarship to some worthy senior at graduation. Classes 1939-2019 will be recognized during the alumni meeting.

Decoration Day will be held at Charles Creek Cemetery on Sunday, May 5. Upkeep of the cemetery depends on yearly donations. All contributions are greatly appreciated.
The Warren County Retired Teachers Association will hold its annual banquet to honor new retired teachers on Thursday, May 9 at Centertown United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 5 p.m. The WCRTA scholarship winner and Retired Teacher of the Year will be announced. There will be a hamburger supper Saturday, May 11 at Centertown CIC at 5 p.m. The menu includes hamburger or hotdog plate, baked beans, potato salad or chips, dessert and beverage. The cost is $6 for adults and carry-outs are available.
The Generations sixth annual 5K Color Run is Saturday, May 11 and forms can be picked up at USA Gym or online. For more information, call 931-743-6628. The cost is $25 which includes a T-shirt, bottled water and paint packets to throw during the end-of-run party.
