A Rock Island Christmas will be offered from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. by all the shops of Rock Island. Support local retailers while enjoying great food, good discounts and lots of Christmas cheer. The two-day event will also be offered on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Christ Community Church will be offering a free Thanksgiving meal and non-denominational service beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Milner Recreation Center. There will also be bluegrass gospel music. Everyone is welcome.

A Community Resources Day will be offered on the first floor of McMinnville City Hall on Nov. 15 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Local organizations, such as Warren County Senior Center, Caring Hearts United, UCHRA, Warren County Emergency Food Bank, Families in Crisis and Meals on Wheels, will be on hand to provide information about the services they offer.
The 11th annual Wonderland of Trees will be offered at Three Star Mall from Nov. 15-20. Presented by Caring Hearts United, place a bid on your favorite tree or shop the Wonderland Store. The fundraiser benefits hospice patients. For more information, visit the organization on Facebook.

First Presbyterian Church of McMinnville will be providing free meals on Thanksgiving Day, from 10:30 to noon. Call the church at 473-2690 by Nov. 22 to reserve a meal. Meals are pick-up only.
Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are held on Tuesday and Thursday nights each week from 7 to 8 p.m. Meetings are held in the basement of St. Matthew Episcopal Church in McMinnville. The church is located at 105 Edgewood Avenue.
