The Warren County Democratic Party will meet at 6 p.m. at Billy’s. Several candidates will be in attendance.

There will be a 71st anniversary reunion of the formation of the McMinnville National Guard unit from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Medley’s Diner. There will be door prizes donated by local businesses and reservations are not necessary.

The annual History Hayride at Edgar Evins State Park is taking place. There will be hay wagons that take you into the past as costumed re-enactors reveal the history of the park and area. The cost is $15 per person and online reservations can be made at or call the park at 931-858-2114 to obtain more information.
There will be a fall festival at Bates Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Games start at 4 p.m. with dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. with an assortment of food – soup, chili, sandwiches, desserts and drinks. Additionally, there will be a silent auction along with baked goods and crafts.

Central High School Class of 1952 will be having its monthly get-together on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 2:30 p.m. at Nana’s Kountry Kupboard on Sunnyside Heights. All classmates are welcome.

Irving College Alumni Banquet will be Saturday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m. Bring a covered dish. Everyone is welcome.
Centertown Church of Christ is having Friends and Family Day on Oct. 21 with Bible study at 9 a.m. The speaker will be Bro. Bill Boyd with a fellowship meal following.

All ladies who enjoy singing and performing are invited to join “Ah Tempo, a Chorus of Women’s Voices” directed by Kennette Dixon on Monday, Oct. 22 at the First Methodist Outreach building on Morford Street.
