FRIDAY, OCT. 18
The Eastern Stars will be having a bean and ham dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dinner includes beans and ham, slaw, corn muffins, squash relish, dessert and drink for $5.
SATURDAY, OCT. 19
Junior Auxiliary of McMinnville is holding a Mother Son Date Night from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Bobby Ray gym. The theme is superheroes. There will be a live DJ, photographer, and catering from Topz Metro Deli. Ticket price includes dinner and a photo. Tickets are $35 per couple. Additional children will be $10 each. Tickets avaiable at McCay Wealth Advisory, Pioneer Pediatrics, Red Berry Salon or any JA member.
There will be a benefit at Viola CIC for Lakelinn Simmons, 18, who was injured in a car crash. A bake sale starts at 1 p.m. followed by hip-hop music at 5 p.m. Admission is $10 and all money goes to Simmons. Call (931) 205-1882 for more information.

Irving College alumni meal will take place. Everyone is invited. Bring a covered dish. Meat, bread and drinks will be provided. Anyone graduating the 8th grade is welcome too.
There will be a Fall Color Walk at Bigbee River Trail on Oct. 26 at 9 a.m. The hike will go from Ramsey Park to Rocket Park and will be just over two miles long. Dogs are allowed on a leash.
Dayspring Community Church, 4295 Smithville Hwy., is having a Fall Festival/ Truck or Treat from 2 to 5 p.m. on Oct. 26. There will be decorated trunks with lots of candy, drinks, hotdogs, popcorn and more.
