The Silver and Gold Band will play a free Christmas concert at First Baptist Church. The band will be directed by guest directors and there will be a performance by the Silver and Gold Brass quintet.

Santa will be coming to VFW Post 5064 at 3340 Sparta Highway from 2 to 4 p.m. Come for pictures and light refreshments.

The deadline to order fruit through the annual Faulkner Springs Christian School sale is Dec. 3. The fruit will arrive the week of Dec. 14. To order and for pricing call 668-8487. Offerings include Texas grapefruit, navel oranges, and California Mandarin oranges
The Warren County Democratic Party will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. at the Administrative Building on Locust Street. Candidates at the county, state, and congressional levels will be speaking.

Lucky CIC will meet at 6:30 p.m., Dec. 4.

Westwood Church of Christ will hold a clothing giveaway from 8 to 10 a.m.

Pet pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. inside Citizen’s Tri-County Bank lobby during Christmas in the Park. Proceeds go to Helping Animals of Warren County. Cost is a $5 donation per picture.

McMinnville Noon Exchange will hold a special signing for its 2018 veterans calendar from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Senior Center on Morrison Street in Westwood. Many of the veterans appearing in the calendar will be there to sign their months. Cost of calendars is $15 and proceeds go to help Veteran Matter, an initiative which helps house homeless veterans.

The fourth annual McMinnville Nativity Festival featuring hundreds of nativities from around the world will be held Dec. 8-10 at 562 Shangri La Lane off Highway 55 Bypass Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.

An area-wide Middle Tennessee singing will be held at Bethany Church of Christ at 1206 Nashville Highway at 7 p.m.

McMinnville First Baptist Church will hold a night of Christmas music Dec. 9-10 at 6 p.m. both nights with a Christmas musical, choir orchestra and live nativity.


The Warren County Retired Teachers Association will hold its Christmas get-together at The Webb House for brunch at 10 a.m., Dec. 14. Members will celebrate their 50th year. Donations will be accepted for the retired teacher scholarship fund and Meals on Wheels. RSVP by Dec. 11 by calling Betty at 668-8472 or Kerry at 474-1770.

The Silver and Gold Band will play a free Christmas concert at Three Star Mall at 3 p.m., Dec. 17.

Young Men United Center at 199 Vanley Rowan Road will be holding concerts every Tuesday from 7 to 10 p.m. with the Country Breeze Band which does a wide assortment of musical styles. Admission is $5 and refreshments are available.
