The McMinnville Independent Baptist Church will hold revival services May 2-6 at 7 p.m. with the McGilliards.
THURSDAY, MAY 3
National Day of Prayer will be held at the Farmers Market at noon. The program features several local preachers who will pray. This event typically lasts about 30 minutes. Everyone is welcome.
SATURDAY, MAY 5
A free adult workshop entitled “Winning A Generation” will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at Westwood Church of Christ. This seminar is to prepare parents, protect kids or rescue them from toxic online activity. The guest speakers will be husband and wife duo Jesse and Sara Siegand. Coffee and light breakfast items will be provided.
The eighth annual Valley Fest will be May 5-6 in Dunlap. Daily admission for adults is $8 and $2 for children. There will be a car show, children’s activities, a 5K and 10K and much more. For more info, call 423-949-7608.
Celebrate Earth Day at Rocket Park begins at 9 a.m. Volunteers are needed to continue work on River Trail North. Bring your own water, snacks and gloves. Do not wear opened-toed shoes. For more information or to sign up, call Wally Bigbee at 473-5968.
Decoration Day for the Trousdale Jacksboro Cemetery will be from 8 a.m. until noon. Committee members will be on hand to collect donations for mowing and upkeep of the cemetery. Donations can also be mailed to Teresa Pepper, 2249 Old Wells Road, Morrison, 37357.
Fairview CIC is having a benefit supper at 5 p.m. with all proceeds going toward building repairs. The menu is meatloaf or chicken strips with mashed potatoes, pinto beans, cooked cabbage, macaroni and cheese, cornbread or roll, dessert and drinks. Music will be provided by Southern Breeze. For adults, the cost is $7. For children under 6, the cost is $5

Decoration Day at Charles Creek Cemetery will be Sunday, May 6 and all contributions will go to the care and upkeep of the cemetery.
Homecoming at Ivy Bluff United Methodist Church, 8597 Ivy Bluff Road, will be Sunday, May 6 at 10 a.m. Lunch will be provided at noon and there will be special guest singers.

A meeting for the Warren County Health Council will take place at the Warren County Administrative Building at noon Tuesday, May 8.
The Warren County Retired Teachers Association will hold its annual banquet to honor new retired teachers on Thursday, May 10 at Centertown United Methodist Church in the fellowship hall at 5 p.m. The guest speaker will be Don Alexander representing the Industrial Development Board.
