The Greater McMinnville Ministerial Association is holding a series of Midweek Lenten Services at First United Methodist Church. Services begin Feb. 14 at 12:05 p.m. and end at 12:25 p.m. Adam Rush, associate pastor of First United Methodist, is the speaker.

SATURDAY, FEB. 17
The Rescue Squad will be having a country ham breakfast fundraiser from 6 to 9:30 a.m. at the squad building on Sparta Street. For delivery orders, call 473-7023.

A chili and soup supper is set for Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. at Shady Grove Community Center with musical entertainment before and after meal. Donations taken at door with proceeds going toward upkeep of the community building. The community center is located at 5261 Shady Grove Road, Morrison.

Helping Animals of Warren County is holding its third chili cook-off Saturday, Feb. 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Moose Lodge, 2851 Smithville Highway. Prizes will be awarded for top three finishers. Meal tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for children 12-and-under. The cost to enter your chili is $8.

McMinnville Church of God on Locust Street will have a Friends and Family Day on March 4 with Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship at 10:45 a.m. There will be a BBQ lunch following service.
