Come sit a spell at library
Magness Library Board of Trustees members have dedicated a chair at the library to W.S. Billy Lively Jr. It was placed in the Community Room because Lively was dedicated to his community. There are plenty of ways to relax at Magness Library.
Board of Trustees members have added one more with the purchase of a chair dedicated to W.S. “Billy” Lively Jr.
“It’s a beautiful chair and it’s very comfortable,” said Magness Library director Brad Walker. “It’s a wonderful addition to the Community Room.”
Lively gave many years of dedicated service to the library, as a resident of the community as an elected official of local government.
Magness Library Board of Trustees chair Pat Bigbee says Lively helped make the library what it is today.
“As a member and chairman of the library’s Board of Trustees, he was instrumental in shaping the institution into the outstanding community resource that is available to the public today,” said Bigbee. “We, the board, thought it was fitting to dedicate this chair to the library in his honor.”
