Warren County Building and Environmental Codes Officer Jason Grove has turned in his letter of resignation and the county is looking for a replacement.
The announcement of his resignation occurred at the county Policy and Personnel Committee meeting Friday night. Grove took over the position from Rich Thompson this past summer when he announced his retirement. Grove will be staying on until a new person passes the exams required by the county.
“He said if you can find somebody, let me do the job until they can get their tests taken,” said County Executive Terry Bell.
Grove has agreed to help train the new person and teach them the computer systems and requirements of the position.
The committee voted to approve the resignation and allow the advertising process for the position to begin.
