An effort is underway to reduce the cost of McMinnville Civic Center renovation, which is estimated at $5 million. The McMinnville Board of Mayor and Aldermen gave city administrator Bill Brock an approving nod to establish a committee that would review the facility’s proposed renovation plans and look for cost-saving measures.Brock said the committee would consist of himself, Parks and Recreation director Scott McCord, Water Department director Anthony Pelham, and Planning and Zoning director Nolan Ming. “This is something I’ve been thinking about when it comes to Civic Center,” said Brock.
