Just in time for the holidays, a rash of car burglaries has police officers suspecting they have a theft ring on their hands as at least 10 people have been victimized.“We’ve seen them on West End, Westwood and even downtown,” said McMinnville Police Chief Bryan Denton of the expanding circle of thefts that have continued for over a week. The car larcenies involve thieves entering cars and trucks and ransacking them, looking for easy items to steal. They all have one thing in common.“They are yet to break into a car,” Denton said. “They have exclusively picked on unlocked vehicles.”Another peculiarity is their time of operation.
