If you’ve ever wanted to own the Blue Building, now's your chance.
Developers interested in the Blue Building property have until Oct. 20 to submit purchase proposals to the city of McMinnville.
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen accepted the wording of a request for proposals (RFP) on Tuesday night and it’s currently available on the city’s website. It outlines the general requirements, technical requirements, selection process, selection criteria, and the terms and conditions related to the RFP.
A three-week timeframe was given.
“We don’t want to make it too long, but we want to give people sufficient time to respond,” said Community Development Department director David Baird.
He presented a timeline to officials that also set Oct. 27 for officials to generate a “short list” of developers selected by the city from those submitted.
“I personally think this is as quick as we can do it, but not too quick,” said Baird.
