Warren County High School will not receive $25,000 to purchase Chromebooks. Members of the Joint Economic and Community Development Board voted in March to apply for a ThreeStar enhancement grant totaling $25,000 with the intent of donating that money to the high school to purchase approximately 75 Chromebooks to be used for online testing the state requires. McMinnville Mayor Jimmy Haley, chair of JECDB, announced during this month’s meeting the grant application was denied, speculating grant officials took into account the unclear future of online testing.
