The Park Theater is moving from downtown McMinnville to an African jungle, at least for this week’s showings of “Tarzan” that is.“When people come here to see the show, we’re striving for a jungle experience,” said director Logan Taylor. “We want them to feel like they’re in a totally different world.”“Tarzan” has four scheduled showings this week, opening Thursday night at 7 p.m. There’s also a show Friday at 7 p.m., and two shows Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the Park Theater box office or online through Ticket Biscuit.Among all the ornamentation, one aspect that will gain much attention is Tarzan swinging from the rafters thanks to a Chicago-based company which has set up its rope system at the Park Theater.“We spent two days practicing and working on it,” said Luke Nafrada, who landed the lead role of Tarzan and who will be doing most of the swinging. “It’s one of the things that adds an extra dimension that puts this show over the top.
