Everybody loves a game of chance. So, adding a good cause to Bingo Night makes everyone a winner.
Caring Hearts United, a nonprofit organization that assists hospice patients in Warren County and surrounding areas, is holding “Bingo Game On!” The event is this Tuesday, June 28, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on center stage of Three Star Mall.
Per card is $5 and no limit is placed on the number of times a participant can play.
“Everybody who plays really seems to enjoy it,” said Caring Hearts United’s Alma Shoemaker. “In fact, if we could do it more often, they’d like us to. Our last Bingo Night had over 100 people, roughly. We ran out of chairs. We are bringing in extra chairs and a few more tables for this one.”
All proceeds go toward helping the organization bring smiles to hospice patients.
“Caring Hearts United has been going really good,” said Shoemaker. “We are currently putting the Fourth of July bags together. We have 632 bags going out, but we’ve received a call from a hospice unit in Manchester. So, we might be adding another one to our list.”
Fourth of July bags are red and white strips, with an American flag on it. Each contain a wide array of items including a cooler pack that can be used for hot or cold items, a patriotic handkerchief that can be used to wrap the freezer pack or just to wear, Italian ice packets, and a magnet that has an inspirational message, etc.
