A Morrison man who tried to run away from an officer on foot when he was pulled over on his motorcycle has been sentenced to 27 months in federal prison. Brent M. Cantrell, 44, was given the sentence in U.S. District Court Chattanooga Division for possession of a firearm by a felon. In handing down its sentence, the court recommended Cantrell receive 500 hours of substance abuse treatment and ordered him to be on supervised release for three years after his incarceration.
