A man ran from police after he was caught with drugs, money and a gun following a routine traffic stop.The man, Brent M. Cantrell, 43, is charged with evading arrest on foot, possession of meth and possession of a firearm. He is a convicted felon, having been convicted in federal court back in 2002 for conspiracy to manufacture meth.Cantrell was pulled over by McMinnville Police Sgt. Ben Cantrell for not having a registration plate. He was given a citation and then the sergeant asked to search his person.“I found a large bundle of money and a bag of suspected narcotics in his jacket pocket,” the officer reported, noting he then asked him what was in his motorcycle bag.
