Cairy gets six months for attack on jail guard

An inmate will be enjoying an extra six months of jailhouse hospitality at Warren County Jail after he entered a guilty plea for attacking a guard.The inmate, James Lorance Cairy, 50, entered a guilty plea before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke on the reduced charge of assault for attacking Corrections Officer Kolton Gardner inside Warren County Jail. Cairy was serving the remainder of a four-year term for violating his probation for an earlier conviction on the charge of aggravated assault at the time of the jailhouse attack. He was directed to get mental health treatment as part of that earlier sentence for felony assault which came back in 2014.
