Gov. Haslams outdoor burn ban was not extended past its Dec. 15 deadline.
The governor’s ban on outdoor burning in 51 counties expired last week and Warren County residents are now free to burn leaves and brush – provided they obtain a burn permit.As is customary in Tennessee, burn permits are required from Oct. 15 to May 15 each year. The burn permits, which are free, can be obtained by city residents by calling McMinnville Fire Department. For residents who live outside the city, the local Division of Forestry can be reached at 635-2754.Gov.
