A Rock Island man wanted in connection with a string of burglaries that includes stealing 20 bottles of liquor from the VFW was taken into custody while breaking into a church. Corey Michael Kirby, 33, was arrested inside Martin’s Chapel Church and was reportedly found with meth at the time. Kirby faces seven counts of burglary, seven counts of theft, one count of possession of meth, and violation of probation.
