Brown to serve 20 days for stabbing

A man who claimed he stabbed another man in self-defense will serve 20 days behind bars.The man, Anthony Charles Brown, 35, entered a guilty plea before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke to the charge of assault and was directed to serve 20 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence. He was ordered to stay away from the victim and the homeless shelter as part of his probation. He was originally charged with aggravated assault and could have faced up to six years in prison if convicted.Police were summoned to a fight at a residence on Bybee Branch Road.
