Billy Brinkley entered a guilty plea before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley.

A man has been sentenced to eight years in prison after kiddie porn was found on his cellphone.
The defendant, Billy Brinkley, 35, entered a guilty plea before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to the charge of sexual exploitation of a minor and was directed to serve eight years. The sentence is to be served at 100 percent, meaning he will not be eligible for early release on parole. He will also have to register himself with the state sexual offender registry.
His prison time comes after his cellphone was found while he was on the job at Yorozu. Not knowing who the phone belonged to, the people who found it opened it to try to find its owner. However, while going through the phone, they discovered disturbing images of children in sexual situations. Brinkley admitted to downloading the illegal images during interrogation by investigators.
The number of illegal images found, which totaled over 100, made his crime a Class C Felony. Brinkley also faces charges in Rutherford County where local investigators believe he may have taken some of the videos found on his phone.
