Bobby Ray Memorial Elementary has received new donated playground equipment and the students are loving it.

The playground was donated by the Donors Choose organization. The mission of this organization is to make it easy for anyone to help a teacher in need, moving closer to a nation where students in every community have the tools and experiences they need for a great education. They find classroom projects, vet the requests, receive citizen donations, and ship the project directly to the teacher once the project is fully funded.

Bobby Ray students have swarmed to the new playground additions. The teachers have also noticed the kids are taking an interest in the donated playground and think the new swings, see-saws, and climbing obstacles and are pretty cool themselves.

“They are pretty awesome. The kids are loving it, they love seeing new things,” said second-grade teacher Melissa Hall.

The new playground is ultimately a big hit with the students.

“Anything new they are curious about, so the fact they have something new they are all over it,” said second-grade teacher Danielle Blaylock.

Thanks to Donors Choose, Bobby Ray students now have a little more to enjoy during recess.
