The Biz Foundry is making a toast to the citizens of McMinnville to celebrate the holiday season with a happy hour event and donation drive benefitting seniors in the community.

The organization is inviting McMinnville residents to its newest location at 118 South Court Square to socialize and spread the holiday spirit through acts of charity with a donation drive on Tuesday, Dec. 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. Attendees are invited to partake in a free drink of craft beer from Depot Bottom Brewery sponsored by M Pack Plumbing and Electric.

For the McMinnville happy hour, donations are being collected for Be A Santa to A Senior. The charitable drive is sponsored by Home Instead Senior Care. Through the drive, senior citizens of the Upper Cumberland can request specific items to receive for Christmas.

“During December, we are partnering with different charities throughout the region,” says Haley Smith, director of marketing and communications for The Biz Foundry. “We chose to help the elderly in McMinnville by giving gifts and necessities through the Be A Santa to A Senior program.”

The Biz Foundry is asking attendees to bring an item to donate during happy hour. Those who donate receive an extra drink ticket at the door. Items needed include blankets, scarves, hats, hygiene products and cleaning supplies.

“Every donation, whether big or small, helps make the colder months a little happier and healthier for the elderly in the area,” says Smith.

December’s happy hour is the first of the monthly events to be held at the Biz Foundry in McMinnville.
