Be sure to register to vote

As 2021 comes to an end, now could be a good time to ask, “Am I eligible to vote in 2022?”

Voters may register or update their registration in the Election Commission office, by mail, or online at www. The deadline to register to vote in the May 3 Primary Election is April 4.

“If a voter has a question about their eligibility, please contact the Election Commission office early to be sure you can qualify,” said election administrator Susie Davenport. “Potential voters who have felony convictions for which they have completed all restitution should contact the office as soon as possible if they are interested in getting their right to vote restored as the process is simple but does require some time. Not every conviction is restorable, but most are.”

Anyone who needs to vote by absentee ballot is encouraged to contact the Warren County Election Commission office for more information.

In-person registration or having previously voted in person is required to vote by absentee ballot.

Anyone interested in working as a poll worker in the upcoming elections should come by or contact the Warren County Election Commission to fill out a poll worker application.

“We are always looking for good poll workers,” said Davenport. “We will also have some community service hours available during the next three to four months.”

Call the office at (931) 473-5834 if additional information is needed.
