A former Lady Pioneer softball player lost her life in a wreck in Manchester over the weekend.
Bella Bain, 18, was driving a 2017 Dodge Ram pick-up truck on Highway 55 at Keel Road in Manchester Friday night around midnight. Bain reportedly left the roadway and struck a tree. She died as a result of her injuries. Two other passengers were in the car with her, but the extent of their injuries are currently unknown.
A fundraiser in Bella’s memory is currently on GoFundMe.com. The funds raised will go to the family and help with the expenses or needs of the family in the coming months.
The community is mourning the loss of the 18-year-old. Friends and family members have been sharing their condolences online. Many friends referred to Bella as someone who would light up a room and someone with a good soul.
Bella was a 2023 Warren County High School graduate. She was a softball player and a former basketball player. She was a member of the Warren County Middle School softball team, a part of the 2020 WCHS Softball team and a member of many other teams. The Crouch House, a local business, created custom shirts for some of Bella’s teammates in memory of her. The shirts read, “Once a Lady Pioneer, Always a Lady Pioneer” and feature the number 12.
