Applications are now available for the McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce’s leadership development program, Leadership McMinnville, for the Class of 2021.
The program is an eight-month course that provides our community with a well-trained source of leaders who are prepared and committed to serving McMinnville and Warren County.
Leadership McMinnville aims to form and develop skills, identify community leaders, and motivate them to action. The organization also wants to educate through experience and encourage applicants to actively participate within their community while developing skills and talents.
“Leadership McMinnville allows professionals to learn about business and economic development, as well as the ever-present issues in our community in an environment that stimulates connections with one another,” said Dayron Deaton-Owens of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. “Skills and talents obtained in Leadership McMinnville can be used across a multitude of professional fields and in ways that strengthen the community. The class schedule educates the class on important topics and opportunities in and around McMinnville and Warren County. The applicants will explore topics such as local and state government, education, economic development, criminal justice, health, and human services, and many more.”
Said Chamber president Don Vizi, “There are many different valuable and unique learning experiences obtained in Leadership McMinnville that provide emerging leaders the opportunity to shape their careers through real-world engagement across our community.”
