One elected official is attempting to shed some light on an appointment process looming before the McMinnville Board of Mayor and Aldermen to fill a vacant position. Mayor Jimmy Haley announced on Tuesday night he will be submitting his resignation this week. Vice Mayor Ben Newman will automatically be mayor and get sworn in at a later date.
