A Warren County Jail inmate who attacked a guard has been given probation as part of a plea bargain in which he entered a guilty plea for violating his probation. The inmate, Jay Allen Link, 30, entered no contest pleas before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke to charges of assault on an officer and violation of probation. While getting an 11-month, 29-day probationary sentence for his assault on the corrections officer, he was given a six-month sentence to serve, in addition to his current time, for violating his probation.
